After the 'Rona Road Trips

Camp is what? Summer 2020 is certainly not looking the way we planned. After what seems like a million days of quarantine, home schooling, cooking and cleaning and trying to keep it all together, it’s time to pivot and plan a break!

While most of us are not okay with getting on a plane right now, here are some great northeast road trip ideas for romantic getaways, family trips, girls or guys trips…a little something to choose from for everyone. So, let’s try and salvage a little bit of summer.

This was one of our absolute favorite trips and we cannot wait to go back this summer. The elegant island is such a perfect long weekend summer road trip. For a romantic weekend away is it one of our favorite places! Feel like a Kennedy for the weekend (minus the tragedies, of course).

Provisions Nantucket (one of the best sandwiches we have EVER had, and that's a lot of sandwiches)


Lobster Bake (grab a lobster bake to go, some wine, and your beach blanket and enjoy the sunset on the beach while having your own gourmet dinner)

What to do:

Rent mopeds at Nantucket Bike Shop and drive around the island

Spend the day at Jetties Beach

Drink up at Cisco Brewers (distillery, vineyard and brewery all in one, plus live music)


North Fork, LI is the next best thing to Napa Valley.
